[The basic composition of the space]
It started from the concept of making a Sushi restaurant that provides truly authentic Japanese Sushi made by a highly skilled Sushi Chef.
Prioritizing guests’ higher satisfaction rather than achieving more seats, Removed the existing upstairs to make a high ceiling one-story, Placed only 8 counter seats in the main house, and a newly built small annex as a private room had been set apart from it.
A small pond separates the main house from the annex, making the annex a special place that is visible but inaccessible from the main house.
The sloping over the pond connects the counter to the annex only for service.

While bringing in cypress from Japan, local materials and construction methods were incorporated, aiming to create a space that is appropriate for authentic Sushi by taking a different approach than reproducing Sushi restaurants in Japan.

[空間の基本構成]
職人の技術に裏打ちされた本物の日本の鮨を提供する店というコンセプトからスタートした。
席数重視では無く、個々のお客さんの満足度を上げる事を考え、既存上階を取り払い、高い天井高を持つ平屋とし、母屋はカウンター席8席のみ、別に離れを設けるという構成とした。
母屋と離れを池によって隔て、特別な場所としての離れを、見えはするが行く事が出来ない場所として演出した。
従業員動線のみ池に架かるスロープでカウンター内と離れとが結ばれる。

日本からヒノキを取り寄せる一方で、この土地で手に入る素材、得意な工法を取り入れ、日本にある鮨店の再現とは違うアプローチで高いクオリティーの鮨に相応しい空間を目指した。
